George developed the Acadametrics academic model to forecast Land Registry house
prices, working with Dr Satchell. He is now at the University of Manchester, Manchester Business School, Accounting and Finance Department, having lectured in Quantitative Finance at the Cass Business School,
City University, and in Finance and Econometrics at the University of Exeter. George is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Technical University
of Crete and an advisor in the European banking sector. His research concerns risk from both the econometrical and mathematical finance point of
view; he speaks at many international conferences on these subjects and publishes research work in international refereed journals and books.
He is the author of the book “Forecasting Correlation in Financial Assets and Portfolios”, Wiley Publishers, 2005. George has completed extensive
postgraduate studies in both econometrics and mathematical finance including a PhD and Masters from the University of London and the AUEB.
