It is widely recognised that reported house price movements at national level mask a variety of very different trends at regional, local and property type levels. Such trends are important to all participants in the property market, whether lenders, surveyors, estate agents, portfolio owners or commentators.

Acadametrics Prices and Transactions (APAT LGA) provides the requisite sales volumes and average transacted prices, by property type, at Local Government Area level. APAT LGA employs factual Land Registry (LR) data from 1995 for each region, county, unitary district and London borough in England & Wales and Registers of Scotland (RoS) data from 2003 for each local authority in Scotland. APAT LGA time series data, updated monthly, include interactive charts for easy comparisons.

For closer focus, our related APAT POSTCODE provides transactions and average prices at postcode district level with a quarterly release suitable for most purposes. Optional monthly release and/or a focus upon postcode sectors or e.g. on individual streets or other client-specified localities are available.
